All are welcome here. For graduate research, I cannot admit directly from unsolicited emails, students must first be accepted to the Plant and Microbial Biology Graduate Program, Microbiology, Immunology and Cancer Biology Graduate Program (MICaB), or Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics Graduate Program (BMBB), where I am a member of the graduate faculty. Which one should you pick? “Be true, be true / to your own strange kind”.
Undergraduate directed research candidates are selected at the beginning of each semester, and are always welcome to drop by my office in 256 Gortner or send a message detailing your interests and schedule availability. UROP projects evolve from directed research projects, due to the time needed to gain experience working with anaerobes and electrochemistry tools.
